Although he now calls Phoenix home and serves as the Suns’ in-game MC, in 1995, Cedric Ceballos was a newly-minted Laker and caught G-Funk fever on “Flow On”, a track produced by Warren G. Just as he does at Suns home games, Ced is getting us hyped up for tonight’s Game 5 in L.A. with this video shot at the Venice Beach courts. I’m giving dude an 8 on the rapping ballers scale (with zero being K.O.B.E. of course- dude bit his whole style from Charli Baltimore). Let’s get it Suns!

Talib Kweli adds to the Arizona SB 1070 protest song catalog with “Papers, Please”. It may not have come as quickly as other songs, but this well-thought-out treatise on the true impacts on Arizona’s economy and very soul was worth the wait.

In the tradition of “Self Destruction” and “We’re All in the Same Gang”, and a beat courtesy of 1991’s “By the Time I Get to Arizona”, a group of all-star MCs have dropped a track and accompanying music video to call attention to how our community in Arizona feels about the recently passed 1070 immigration bill. The track features, in order, DJ John Blaze, Tajji Sharp, Queen Yonasda, Yung Face, Mr. Miranda, Ocean (DOA!), D’Aaron Anthony, Atllas, Chino D, Nhytee, Pennywise, Rich Rico and Da Beast with some dope visuals provided by Carlos Berber.

So far, the track’s been all over the internet- AllHipHop, Worldstar, and now Public Enemy, whose seminal Arizona protest song is the foundation of this track, is featuring the video on the front page of their website.

Download the track below- how loud will you be playing it when you get pulled over?
